We all would like to love our family members unconditionally but there are some family members that we can’t help but avoid because they have toxic personalities and their behaviour stresses us out. It is particularly hard to avoid them during family gatherings and holiday celebrations. So how do you deal with them without losing your sanity and still be able to enjoy family gatherings?
Emotions are contagious and we are all affected by the emotions of people around us especially the people who we are constantly interacting with. The workplace is such an environment and if there are toxic people at work, then going to work might become a stressful experience instead of being a fulfilling one.
You wake up in the morning. You look outside your window and you see dark clouds looming in the sky. By the glimpse of it, you know right away that it is going to be a long gloomy day. On your way to work, someone recklessly cut in front of your car on the road. You got furious and you spent the rest of the day in a bad mood.
Everyone has the goal of living a stress-free life but that may just be a myth. We will experience no growth in life if we don’t encounter stress. If you don’t experience stress and conquer them, then you will never realise your full potential.
Have you ever experienced being the best in a group? It is nice to have people look up to you. You feel good about yourself. It seems like you are on top of the world. That is until you are faced with a difficult challenge that is too much for you to handle. It is then that you realized that you have no one else to turn to. You have to come up with a solution to the the crisis on your own. You have to bear the responsibility for the whole group.
Education is one of the important things that parents strive to be able to provide for their children. In school, children are rewarded with praise and awards when they get high grades in their subjects and they are envied for their intelligence. Even as adults, intelligence is highly valued in job applications.
You are special. You have gifts and talents that are uniquely yours. All you need to do is to believe in yourself. Know that you are enough and that you have what it takes to be successful. Just let go of your fears and self-doubt. Be confident.
