For most of us, our daily routine consists of designated hours spent going to work, working, going back home and getting some sleep. We seldom or never even think of scheduling time within our day for ourselves; to just be alone and do something that we really want to do or to reward ourselves for getting through the day.
When you think of the word “grounding”, you normally think of how we keep ourselves safe from getting electrocuted inside our homes and work places. Actually, it works for the human body too.
Grounding, also called Earthing, is a practice that benefits our health. Unfortunately, in our modern world, we don’t do much of this or none at all. For example, when was the last time you walked barefoot on the ground, or on the grass?
Some part of the Philippines had been experiencing severe hot weather these past few weeks with a recorded temperature heat index (HI) of as high as 51.5 degrees Celsius (that’s about 124.7 degrees Fahrenheit). This extreme heat is still expected to continue this month of May. It might even get worse in the coming years not just in the Philippines but in the whole world, as a result of climate change.
Everyone has the goal of living a stress-free life but that may just be a myth. We will experience no growth in life if we don’t encounter stress. If you don’t experience stress and conquer them, then you will never realise your full potential.
