Success = Ignorance + Confidence

Aside from having a vision and a goal, you also need ignorance and confidence to attain success.

Ignorance means that you have a hunger to learn more. Confidence means that you have the desire to do what needs to be done to satisfy your hunger.

“Most people never pick up the phone and call. Most people never ask. And that’s what separates sometimes the people that do things from the people that just dream about them.” — Steve Jobs

So if you have something you want to learn, have the confidence to ask about it. And when you have learned what you need, remind yourself that there are still more questions to ask and more things to learn.

Just as Steve Jobs said:

Stay hungry. Stay foolish.

When you have succeeded a goal, don’t sit on your laurels. Know that there is still more to achieve and more success to experience. Keep on looking forward to the next destination but don’t forget the lessons you learned along the way.
